Great Lakes Theater Seeks Youth Performers for "The Winter's Tale" and "A Christmas Carol"
CLEVELAND, OH — Great Lakes Theater (GLT) is seeking talented youth performers, ages 7–13, for the 2026-27 season productions of The Winter's Tale and A Christmas Carol.
Auditions will be held Monday, August 3, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Great Lakes Theater's rehearsal studios. Youth performers should be prepared to sing up to 16 bars of their favorite song a cappella and may be asked to read from the script. Present for auditions will be Sara Bruner, Producing Artistic Director, and Tamara French, Company Manager.
Auditions are by appointment only and must be reserved by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026. To schedule an audition, please visit www.greatlakestheater.org/2627YouthAuditions. Appointment confirmations will be sent via email within one week of reservation. No phone calls, please. Youth performers should bring a headshot and résumé to the audition. The Winter's Tale rehearsals will begin on September 15, with performance dates scheduled from September 25 through October 11. A Christmas Carol rehearsals will begin on November 10, with performance dates scheduled from November 27 through December 20. NOTE: Due to truancy laws in Ohio, please be certain to check with your school's administration office regarding attendance policies.
