An Unforgettable Psychological Thriller
Feb 17 - Mar 12, 2017
Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square
Run Time: 2 hours & 15 Minutes (including intermission)
By Frederick Knott
Directed by Joseph Hanreddy
A 1960s Greenwich Village apartment is the scene for a deadly game of cat and mouse when a group of con-men manipulate and terrorize an unsuspecting blind woman to reclaim a mysterious doll.
When the doll can’t be found, the situation spirals out of control. With murder afoot and suspense building, the woman deftly decides to “wait until dark,” in an attempt to outwit her assailants. The thrills begin when the lights go out. Wait Until Dark’s chilling conclusion is proof positive that what you can’t see can hurt you.
Wait Until Dark Playbill
spoiler [spoi-ler] noun.: information about a plot or event in a movie, book, or show that may spoil the suspense or surprise
Sentence: Unfortunately, the spoiler synopsis of "Wait Until Dark" on Great Lakes Theater's website revealed all of the production's surprises.
Note About the Synopsis: In an attempt to maintain the suspense, preserve the surprise ending of this classic thriller and prevent emails from audience members containing the sentence above, we have intentionally omitted a full plot synopsis on our website. If you absolutely must read a spoiler-laden synopsis before attending, a simple internet search will do the trick. However, we believe that your theater experience will be MUCH more rewarding if you resist the urge. The late author of "Wait Until Dark", Frederick Knott, thanks you as well!
