DonateActor-Teacher
Katy Shinas is absolutely thrilled to be joining the Great Lakes Theater team as an actor-teacher!
She graduated with her BA from William and Mary, double majoring in theatre and sociology with a concentration in social problems, policy, and justice. She recently received her MLitt and her MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin, where she also taught undergraduate courses in the English and theatre departments. Some of her recent credits include Panthea in A King and No King, Warwick and others in Henry VI pt III, and Lanthorn Leatherhead in Bartholomew Fair.
She makes an absolutely mean cup of joe, and she loves reading, board games, and dead languages. Originally from northern Virginia, Katy is looking forward to seeing the Great Lakes for the first time, scoping out the Ohio Renaissance Festival, and seeing what's the deal with Cincinnati chili.
