Make classic theater come alive for your students!Book Now
Our innovative educational programming has impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of students over the past six decades. The challenges related to the pandemic have afforded us an unexpected opportunity to further innovate. As a result, we've transitioned our acclaimed in-person educational programming to virtual engagement experiences. Whether making a difference in the classroom or online - we remain committed to our region's students.
"Your actor-teachers are marvelously trained as artists and educators. They are very talented, well-prepared, imaginative, thoughtful and have a wonderful rapport with the students. The quality of their work, and really more to the point, the quality of the students' learning during the residency, is extremely high. Thank you again for allowing us the privilege of hosting this program in our school."
- DR. SCOTT MILLER, CLEVELAND SCHOOL OF THE ARTS (CMSD)
"I can’t believe that this is my daughter’s last year as a camper with your program...This is the start of the “lasts” as she enters her Senior year in high school...I want to thank you all for your time, talent and love that you have given her over the years... This is where she first realized she enjoyed the stage and acting. Your summer program...gave her so much confidence in herself as well as a lot of joy. She always came out of your camp days with a big smile and loads of stories and laughter. She has met like souls, and I am hoping they keep in touch as they have been doing."
-TANYA, CAMP THEATER! PARENT
When traditional, in-school learning was disrupted, our education team pivoted quickly and developed innovative, virtual solutions to support students, teachers, and families. Take a peek at some sample programming and stay tuned as we debut more digital content for students, teachers, and families throughout the coming school year!
Camp Theater looked a little different this year. But we were excited to bring a week full of new digital content to our campers for FREE. Check out two of the video modules that we featured this year below to sneak a peek at what our campers experienced!
Day 1 - Kid's Classics & Groundlings
For families with students entering 3rd grade & below.
Day 1 - Jesters & Fools
For students entering 4th - 6th grades.
“Our students had limited exposure to Shakespeare, and we had studied Julius Caesar before attending the play. Experiencing the live performance gave them a much better understanding of the relationships between the characters, which the simple words on the page do not necessarily convey to the novice reader.”
– MICHAEL MCNAMEE, FACING HISTORY NEW TECH HIGH SCHOOL
