We are currently scheduling auditions for the following:
Great Lakes Theater announces auditions for non-Equity actor/teachers for its School Residency Program for the 2015-2016 school year. Actors of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to audition. These are full-time, seasonal, paid positions, offered from August/September 2015 through May 2016. All auditions are by appointment only.
Applicants should prepare one Shakespearean monologue and one contrasting contemporary monologue for the audition. Both monologues should total no more than three minutes combined.
Auditions will take place on Monday May 11, 2015. Callbacks will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 and are by invitation only. The deadline to register for an audition appointment is Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. Great Lakes Theater is an equal opportunity employer.
All applicants must be non-Equity actors. Additional requirements include an undergraduate degree in any discipline, as well as previous stage experience or actor training. Teaching experience or prior work with elementary, junior high or high school age students is a plus, but not required. Applicants must have a driver license and a reliable automobile.

Friday, April 24th, 10 am - 6 pm
Lunch Break from 2-3 p.m. both days
Auditions will be held at Playhouse Square's Rehearsal Halls (1650 Chester Ave.).
Please prepare: One brief Shakespeare monlogue, one brief contemporary monologue, and one short song selection (if desired). Please indicate if you are planning to sing for your audition in the online audition application. Accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together.
Members of Actors Equity Association should schedule an appointment time. Appointment times will be confirmed via email.
Non-AEA actors who wish to audition will be placed on a waiting list, and added to the audition schedule as slots become available.
