Local AEA Auditions for 2026-2027 Season

Great Lakes Theater Announces Local Equity Auditions for the 2026-2027 Season Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. If you have submitted an online audition request and have not received a confirmation email, please contact Tamara French at companymanagement@greatlakestheater.org.

Eligibility based on UNION (AEA) status, non-AEA please review ELIGIBILITY, listed below. DO NOT SUBMIT ON THIS FORM.

Auditions will be held at the Playhouse Square Red Rehearsal Hall located at 2067 East 14th St. Cleveland, OH 44115 Please prepare: 1. One brief Shakespeare monologue and one brief contemporary monologue, OR 2. Two brief Shakespeare monologues, OR 3. One brief monologue and one short song selection. Please bring sheet music in the correct key, accompanist provided but will not transpose.

Bring a stapled headshot and resume. If you are uploading a resume and headshot file with your online application, please limit the file size of each document to 4M. All actors are welcome to submit headshots and resumes at any time of the year. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the large number of submissions received, we cannot respond personally to your submissions.

VIRTUAL AUDITIONS: We accept video auditions. If sending a video, please include a Shakespeare monologue, a contemporary piece and a song (if you sing.) A Christmas Carol; First Rehearsal: 11/10/26, Opening: 11/27/26, Closing: 12/20/26. The Comedy of Errors; Opening: 2/05/27, Closing: 2/21/27. Les Misérables; Opening: 3/12/27, Closing: 4/4/27. The Importance of Being Earnest; Opening: 4/23/27, Closing: 5/9/27

Eligibility

Members of Actors Equity Association should schedule an appointment time. Appointment times will be confirmed via email. Non-AEA Actors (Including EMC members) who wish to audition should email Company Manager, Tamara French at companymanagement@greatlakestheater.org to be placed on the waiting list. Please include full name, phone number, email address, union status, and preferred audition time. You will receive a response within 5 business days, Monday - Friday during normal business hours, 9am-5pm. We will use this information when placing non-AEA on the schedule. Non-AEA actors will be notified no later than Wednesday, April 15th if an audition slot becomes available. Notifications will be made via email. No phone calls please.
