CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, concludes its 2017-18 season with the pitch-perfect jukebox musical smash, Forever Plaid. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, May 5-21, 2017. Victoria Bussert directs. (Forever Plaid was written and originally directed and choreographed by Stuart Ross. James Raitt provided musical continuity supervision and arrangements. The original production was produced by Gene Wolsk.)

CLEVELAND, OH – Charles Fee, Producing Artistic Director of Great Lakes Theater (GLT), unveiled an ambitious, six-production array of classics to headline the company’s 2017-18 season. Great Lakes Theater’s fifty-sixth year is scheduled to run from September 2017 through May 2018 at Playhouse Square’s Hanna and Ohio Theatres.
GLT will commence its 2017-18 season with the soaring musical epic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, presented in rotating repertory with Shakespeare’s magical comic masterpiece, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (September 29 – November 5, 2017). The company’s annual production of Dickens’ holiday classic, A Christmas Carol (November 25 - December 23, 2017) will bisect the season. The FREE, family-friendly touring production will visit 21 venues across northeast Ohio.
Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will launch the world premiere its new Classics on Tour series with THE JABBERWOCKY, a free touring production scheduled to visit twenty-one neighborhood libraries and other public venues throughout northeast Ohio. The one-act play is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic poem The Jabberwocky, written by Dakotah Brown, Noah Moody and Chad Shohet and directed by GLT Director of Educational Programming Lisa Ortenzi. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 17 – March 12, 2017. Joseph Hanreddy directs the production.
