The FREE, family-friendly touring production featuring live music will visit fourteen venues across northeast Ohio.
Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will launch a new Classics on Tour production of HUCK FINN, a free touring show scheduled to visit fourteen neighborhood libraries and other public venues throughout northeast Ohio. The one-act play is based on Mark Twain’s classic novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, adapted by Eric Schmiedl and directed by GLT Director of Educational Programming Lisa Ortenzi. It features a touring company of four artists. The tour commences on February 6th, continues through March 3rd and is a classics-inspired, educational performance for families and school-aged children (recommended for third-eighth grade) with a strong message of cooperation, acceptance and choosing peaceful solutions. CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, commences the second half its 2017-18 season with the Midwest stage premiere of Stephen King’s unforgettable thriller, Misery adapted for the stage by William Goldman. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 16 – March 11, 2018. Great Lakes Theater’s own Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee, directs the production. Misery is presented through special arrangement with DRAMATISTS PLAY SERVICE, INC.

CLEVELAND, OH - The stage of the Ohio Theatre, Playhouse Square will glow with good spirits and time-honored tradition when Great Lakes Theater (GLT) presents its twenty-ninth annual production of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, running November 25 – December 23, 2017. The production has delighted more than 725,000 people in its history, making it one of northeast Ohio’s most-loved and best-attended holiday events.

CLEVELAND, OH (August 7, 2017) - Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will commence its 2017-18 season at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square with a Fall Repertory that features the soaring musical epic in its Midwest premiere, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Shakespeare’s magical comic masterpiece, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, concludes its 2017-18 season with the pitch-perfect jukebox musical smash, Forever Plaid. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, May 5-21, 2017. Victoria Bussert directs. (Forever Plaid was written and originally directed and choreographed by Stuart Ross. James Raitt provided musical continuity supervision and arrangements. The original production was produced by Gene Wolsk.)
