Cleveland's Classic Company at the Hanna Theater presents a Tony-Winning Rock 'n' Roll Tribute MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET.

CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, concludes its 2018-19 season with the Tony-winning rock ‘n’ roll tribute, Million Dollar Quartet. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, May 3-26, 2019. GLT’s production of Million Dollar Quartet will feature a number of Broadway actors from shows such as Monty Python’s Spamalot, Hello Dolly!, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Anything Goes and more playing the iconic quartet and supporting roles. Tony-Winning Broadway star, Hunter Foster, directs.

The production features an Elizabethan theater-inspired design concept and an immersive onstage seating experience for audiences.
 
CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, continues the second half its 57th season with Shakespeare’s uproarious battle of the sexes, The Taming of the Shrew. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, March 29 – April 14, 2019. Sara Bruner, longtime GLT artistic company member who played the role of Kate in the 2011 GLT production of The Taming of the Shrew, directs. GLT’s upcoming production of The Taming of the Shrew features actor Jessika Williams in the show’s title role.

CLEVELAND'S CLASSIC THEATER COMPANY ANNOUNCES SIX-SHOW SEASON FOR 2019-20 TO HEADLINE HANNA THEATRE HOME

CLEVELAND, OH Charles Fee, Producing Artistic Director of Great Lakes Theater (GLT), unveiled an ambitious, six-production array of classics to headline the company’s 2019-20 season. Great Lakes Theater’s fifty-eighth year is scheduled to run from September 2019 through May 2020 at Playhouse Square’s Hanna and Ohio Theatres.

GLT will commence its 2019-20 season with the Tony-winning Broadway musical classic, The Music Man, presented in rotating repertory with the Shakespeare’s epic political tragedy, Julius Caesar (September 27 – November 10, 2019). The 31st annual production of Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, A Christmas Carol (November 29 - December 22, 2019) will bisect the season. In the winter/spring, GLT will present the ultimate whodunit thriller, Sleuth (February 14 – March 8, 2020) followed by Shakespeare’s sublime...

Cleveland's Classic Company at the Hanna Theatre Presents Agatha Christie's Gripping Courtroom Thriller WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION

CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, commences the second half its 2018-19 season with Agatha Christie’s gripping courtroom thriller, Witness for the Prosecution. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 15 – March 10, 2019. Great Lakes Theater’s own Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee, directs the production.

Great Lakes Theater is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. OVER TWENTY LOCAL CHOIRS WILL SING BEFORE 30TH ANNIVERSARY PERFORMANCES OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Great Lakes Theater showcases pre-show musical merriment from some of northeast Ohio’s best choirs this holiday season.

(Cleveland, OH) - Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will shine the spotlight on a different northeast Ohio choir 30 minutes prior to each performance of A Christmas Carol. The sounds of the season can be enjoyed by audience members from within the Ohio Theatre as over 530 individuals from 20 northeast Ohio choirs perform holiday classics.

Choirs will perform pre-show according to the following schedule:
·         Friday, November 30 - Immaculate Heart of Mary School       
·         Saturday, December 1 (matinee) - Our Lady of the Elms High School
·         Saturday, December 1 (evening) - Nuance           
·         Sunday, December 2 - Singing Angels
