Agatha Christie graces the Hanna Theatre stage once again with another of her whodunits beloved by audiences worldwide. Christie’s works have netted her the distinction of world’s third most-widely published author, with only the Bible and Shakespeare ahead of her. Witness for the Prosecution was first published as Traitor’s Hands in a pulp magazine, then later published as part of Christie’s The Hound of Death collection as Witness for the Prosecution. It was adapted into a play by Christie in 1953 and has since been produced a number of times on stage, in film and on television. The most famous being the 1957 film version with Tyrone Power, Marlene Dietrich and Charles Laughton.
