Great Lakes Theater (GLT) is seeking applicants for an experienced Properties Master. This unique position offers an Artist the opportunity for year-round work with GLT and our partner theaters, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. Applications will also be accepted from qualified parties interested in a seasonal position (September-May) at GLT only. The Properties Master will collaborate with a core artistic team of professional directors and designers along with production staff to create and procure all furniture, props, and set dressing for each production. Candidates should possess skills in theatrical building techniques, furniture construction, sewing, upholstery, painting and specialty props fabrication. The position also leads and manages a small team of props artists and oversees budgets. Candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills, be able to communicate effectively across all departments, and thrive in an active, fast-paced environment.
