Great Lakes Theater Launches TWO SUMMER DRAMA CAMPS FOR STUDENTS

CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater, Cleveland’s Classic Company will present a pair of summer drama camps for students (ages 4-18) this summer in partnership with Berea High School and Laurel School.
 
CAMP THEATER! is a summer theater camp for students ages 4-18 at Berea-Midpark High School (June 9-20, 2014) that immerses students in interactive and educational theater-based activities. CAMP THEATER! is a unique opportunity for students to work with and learn from Great Lakes Theater’s professional teaching artists in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Daily classes will be held at Berea-Midpark High School in one-week sessions from Monday through Friday. Students may enroll in one or both weeklong sessions. CLEVELAND, OH (March 14, 2014) - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, crowns its 2013-14 season with the Shakespearean comedy, As You Like It. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare, April 4-19, 2014. Edward Morgan directs the production.

Cleveland's Classic Theater Company Announces Ambitious 2014-15 Season to Headline Hanna Theatre Home

CLEVELAND, OH Charles Fee, Producing Artistic Director of Great Lakes Theater (GLT), unveiled an ambitious, five-production array of classics to headline the company’s 2014-15 season. Great Lakes Theater’s fifty-third year is scheduled to run from September 2014 through April 2015 at PlayhouseSquare’s Hanna and Ohio Theatres.

Great Lakes Theater Springs a Suspenseful DEATHTRAP, Broadway's Longest Running Comic Thriller

CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, commences the second half its 2014-15 season with Ira Levin’s murder mystery masterpiece, Deathtrap. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare, February 21 – March 16, 2014. Charles Fee, GLT’s Producing Artistic Director, directs the production.

A FREE World Premiere Touring Production of SEVEN AGES Will Travel to Twenty-Two Venues Across NE Ohio

Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will launch the world premiere of SEVEN AGES, a free touring production scheduled to visit twenty-two neighborhood venues throughout northeast Ohio, to kick off the company’s 2014 series of Surround outreach programming. The one-act play is comprised of seven tales written by seven northeast Ohio playwrights (Nina Domingue, Mike Geither, David Hansen, Christine Howey, Anne McEvoy, Michael Oatman and Toni K. Thayer) and features a touring company of four actors directed by Lisa Ortenzi. The tour commences on February 11th, continues through March 5th and is designed to support Great Lakes Theater’s upcoming mainstage production of As You Like It at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare which opens in April.
