Todd directs all marketing and communications efforts for Great Lakes Theater. Todd joined the staff in January 1999 and has served the institution in a host of different capacities including work within the education, development, production and marketing departments of the organization.
At the helm of GLT’s marketing and communications department since 2005, Todd directed and successfully completed a comprehensive audience research, re-branding and resource re-allocation initiative for Great Lakes Theater which resulted in a 17% increase in attendance for the company. He conceived and executed a robust communications plan which supported GLT’s successful $19.2M capital campaign to create a new permanent home (Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare) and endowment for the institution which was highlighted by national coverage in The Wall Street Journal, American Theatre Magazine and myriad other regional print and broadcast features.

As a member of GLT’s education department, Todd produced several expansive series of outreach programming  (To Be Young, Gifted and Black: A Celebration of African American Arts and Culture, Will Power! – Shakespeare in the New Millennium, Coming of Age: A Series of Community Programs About Growing Up, Star-Cross’d, and Awaken the Dream).  He also produced touring productions of four original plays for Great Lakes Theater and developed new outreach programs including Bardstock FM – a student songwriting competition in partnership with WCPN 90.3, ideastream, and Shakespeare’s Shorts – a student short filmmaking initiative launched in collaboration with the Cleveland Film Society. Todd adapted, directed and designed two original, community-based productions for Great Lakes Theater in Auglaize County, Ohio based on the oral history interviews of 350 longtime and life-long residents of the county.  The productions were selected as models of excellence by the Ohio Humanities Council.
Artistically, Todd was twice honored with the Ohio Arts Council’s Individual Excellence in Creativity Award in 3D Design & Illustration for his body of scenic design work and was identified as one of “Ten Artists To Watch” by Cleveland’s "Plain Dealer". He has collaborated with arts organizations that include The Cleveland Artists’ Collective, The Cleveland Play House, Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama Theater, Ensemble Theater and Stages Repertory Theater.

Todd is also a member of the marketing leadership team for Great Lakes Theater's partner company, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival.

Todd is a proud graduate of Youngstown (Ohio) State University.
